  • Pecans naturally contain 19 vitamins and essential minerals including vitamin A, E, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, B complex and zinc.

  • Pecans offer an excellent protein alternative and are the perfect supplement to a vegetarian diet.

  • Pecans provide 10% of the Recommended Daily Value for fiber in a single serving.

  • Pecans contain 25% more cholesterol-lowering oleic acid than a tablespoon of olive oil.

  • Pecans have been found to lower LDL (bad cholesterol) levels by more than twice the American Heart Association's Step 1 diet alone.
  • For example, studies have shown a pecan-enriched diet lowers total chloresterol by twice that of the AHA Step 1 diet.

Plus, pecans reduce artery-damaging triglycerieds and help to maintain "good" chloresterol levels.

And pecans contain high levels of mono and polyunsaturated fats proven to be essential in a balanced diet.
